Earlier this month I wrote about a devotional I shared in a semi-public forum. The topic of the devotional was centered around persevering through seasons of weariness and how the word gives us the perfect encouragement to do just that, persevere.
I won’t re-write the whole post, because you can read it here, but what I will do is share the personal prayer that I lean on in trying times and encourage you to rest on the assurance of Galatians 6:9.
My Prayer
Lord, give me the strength to endure. I know you have not brought me here to leave me. (Deuteronomy 31:6) And you are faithful. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) Forgive me of my sins and let me not become weary in doing good, because your word says, at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
His Promise
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. -Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
